Apple G5 have a very good processor 970 from IBM, but the CPU is only a
hearth of a system and if you want to get a good solution
    you need a chipset - you know a free on market chipset for ppc970 ? I don't

on the other side if you get this chipset - you can do only a Apple
clone and this shall be 100% expensive like Apple and our idea is not to
    design a Apple clone

a new ppc chipset with PCI-Ex need also a 970 CPU - do you know how cost
this ? I know and when you can't get a commitment for
xxx.000 per year forgot this idea .

I think a design with ppc750/fx/gx , maybe a dual system as option is
    for more people good enough
