Subject: Re: [openppc] LINUX PPC vs LINUX X86
    Top

    Hi
On current BBC Clickonline episode, they feature a comparison between APPLE PowerMac (using MacOS) and DELL PC (using XP).
Their comparison is not a valid hardware comparison, because the operating system and applications are different.

I wonder if it is possible to compare "Linux for PowerPC" running on PowerMac / OpenPPC and "Linux for X86" running on DELL PC using the same applications. Which system is faster?
Which system have a better "Price/Performance"?
