Subject: [usb] Re: CONF_DONE Pin fails to go high error: solution
    Top
    Hey everyone,

Recently someone posted a question regarding failure of configuration of FPGA's (DONE pin failing to go high).

I have also been having the same problem and I think I now have a plausible reason. I'm using a TQFP package and since I haven't soldered the FPGA's themselves, I'm using sockets. It turns out that sometimes the pins on the FPGA lose contact with the pins inside the socket. This is why CONF_DONE pin fails to go high (there is no contact with the socket pin). So I depresses the conf_done pin a little using a miniature tweezer. I did this under a microscope since it is easier, otherwise it is quite easy to brak/bend the pins. So be careful. Also depress all the configuration pins to take care of other similar configuration errors.

    Hope this helps.

    Rahul
