    Subject: [pci] pci newbie
    Top
    Hi,

I'm a newbie at pci core design. I am using an Altera Cyclone board and
i am trying to design the pci core from scratch. I'm doing this using the
state machine outlined in the Local Bus PCI Specification 3.0.

What is peculiar here is that the State Machine (SM) diagram in the
spec shows how the state machine (SM) functions but there is no
explanation on the output of the SM. For example, where does all the
important signals like ad,frame, devsel, trdyn etc...etc... play its part in
    the state machine.

Also I realise this is a very basic question for a newbie. Is there a way I
could quickly view the forums concerning basic questions rather than
wade through the forum which is listed by date? Using the current way,
I have had to read all forum entries which caters from the basic
questions to very high level questions.

Can anyone help me here, please?
