Subject: Re: [pci] PCI target only core (sound card application)
Hi Sebastián,
>Are you planning to post it in opencores?
In gereral I would not have a problem to post it in opencores but on one hand it
is not in a proper state to publish it and on the other hand I do currently not
know if I'm allowed to publish it or not.

The architecture consists of one board containing 2 Spartan II XC2S200 and 8
ADC/DAC stereo audio codecs 24bit/96kHz some analog stuff and a 64Mbit AMD flash
ROM to store a WAV table. One more thing to say is that Core1 just consists of
pci_bridge from OpenCores(Verilog) and Core2 makes the control for the Codecs
and holds the Wishbone slave images(VHDL).
The final goal:
-Create some tones on 16 channels (is aready working)
-Do a realtime 1024 point complex FFT on 16 channels (FFT working in simulation)
To go step by step I've made a core and a C-programm to use this card now to
playback a wav file 16bit samples at 8kHz using interrupts. Since today this is
working fine. For this I can provide driver (based on spartan_drv.c from Mihad)
and C-program after I've cleaned it up, or even post it on opencores.
It shouldn't be too difficult to use the INSIGHT development board for this
application aswell.
-Mememc board
-8kHz quarz
-DA-converter (e.g. built of resistors)
Regards, Nico.
Nico,
I'm finishing an target only core with WB master.
I was thinking in a aplication like the one you developed.
Are you planning to post it in opencores? Can you tell my a bit more about
the architecture.
Thanks.
