Subject: [oc] What SoC / cores for Spartan3E starter kit
What about the Xilinx EDK? The MicroBlaze is a reasonably decent soft-core. It's not free though, but $500 for commerical development should be doable.
Otherwise, check out something like the Wishbone High Performance Z80 on OC. Mike
