There is a text based VDU using Xilinx BRAM integrated into System09 if
that is of any help.
I've been a bit naughty and put a link to another web site on the
project page.
Let me know if people are not happy with that.
It is not a commercial web site.

You should be able to separate it from the system files.
There is VGA demo code on the XESS site and on
http://www.retromicro.com/projects.htm
if you want to design something yourself.
I presume its safe to say a contribution to opencores would be welcomed.
